If you are using Orbify Platform in a corporate or enterprise environment, your network firewall or content filtering system may block certain domains that Orbify requires to function properly.

This can result in the application failing to load, maps not displaying, or data not syncing correcty.

Required Domain Whitelisting

To use Orbify without interruption, please ask your IT department to whitelist the following domains:

Orbify Application Domains

Preferred option:

  • *.orbify.app - wildcard to cover all Orbify subdomains

Alternative option (if wildcards are not permitted):

  • application-name.orbify.app - your specific application instance

  • mjolnir.api.orbify.app - Orbify API services

These domains are essential for accessing the Orbify Platform and its core services.

Map Services

  • *.mapbox.com - for map tile rendering and geospatial visualisation

Orbify uses Mapbox to display interactive maps. Without access to Mapbox, maps will not load properly.

Cloud Storage Services

  • AWS S3 bucket URLs: *.s3.amazonaws.com and *.s3.*.amazonaws.com

  • Google Cloud Storage URLs: *.storage.googleapis.com

These domains are used for storing and retrieving satellite imagery, datasets, and other geospatial assets.

Google Earth Engine

  • earthengine.googleapis.com

  • *.earthengine.google.com

Required for temporary Earth observation data processing and analysis features.

Information for Your IT Department

When contacting your IT team, you can share the following:

Protocol: HTTPS (port 443)
Traffic type: Outbound only
Purpose: SaaS application access, API calls, map rendering, and cloud asset retrieval

Quick Checklist

[] *.orbify.app (or specific subdomains)
[] *.mapbox.com
[] *.s3.amazonaws.com and *.s3.*.amazonaws.com
[] *.storage.googleapis.com
[] earthengine.googleapis.com
[] *.earthengine.google.com

Troubleshooting

If you continue to experience issues after whitelisting these domains:

  1. Clear your browser cache and reload the application

  2. Check with your IT department that SSL/TLS inspection is not interfering with connections

  3. Verify proxy settings are correctly configured to allow these domains

  4. Contact Orbify support if problems persist after whitelisting
